This paper briefly introduces the modified contents from SDJ279 - 1990 'Technical Specification for Power Construction and acceptance check (Instruments and Control device in heat power engineering)' to DL/T5190.5 - 2004 'Technical Specification for Power Construction and Acceptance Check: Chapter 5 - Heat Power Engineering Automation', which includes the adjustments of chapters, the revision of clause and major terms etc.. This specification is applied to the construction and acceptance work for heat power engineering automation project in power plant.
