摘要
会话含义指的是因遵守或违反合作原则某一准则所产生的话语意义。有关会话含义的理论阐述发端于Grice ,后为Horn和Levinson等人所补足和修正。会话含义对语言结构具有制约作用 ,具体分为强制性制约和选择性制约。语言结构的描写须参照语用因素 。
Conversational implicature refers to utterance meaning arising out of either observance or violation of a certain maxim of CP. Theoretical explaration of implicature originates with Grice, to be further revised and bettered by Horn and Levinson. It is argued that implicature does bring language structures under its control, functioning to restrict them either obligatorily or selectively. It is suggested that to describe language structures well, pragmatic factors be taken into account and grammar studies from a pragmatic angle merit sufficient attention.
