摘要
图像的感兴趣区域(ROI)编码技术,即在图像中的感兴趣区域进行无损或近无损压缩,而在其它区域采用有损压缩,从而既可以获得所期望的高质量的图像信息,又保持了较高的压缩比,很好地解决了压缩比和图像质量之间的矛盾。该文首先对ROI编码技术的原理及编码方法进行了详细论述,并在此基础上,把该编码技术引入到变电站图像监控系统中,仿真实验取得了比较满意的效果。
Image compression based ROI(region of interest) encoding technique is to compress interesting regions in an image without loss and to compress uninteresting regions with loss. Consequently desirable high quality image information is acquired with a high compression rate. The proposed technique solves the dilemma between the image quality and compression rate. After the detailed analysis of theory of ROI encoding technique and its encoding methods, this paper introduces the technique into image surveillance system of substation. The experimental result is satisfactory.
