摘要
当我们和英语国家的人进行跨文化交际时 ,由于文化差异 ,可能同一个词汇用在不同的国度所承载的文化意义大相径庭。本文主要从词义的社会性和民族文化性方面探讨在语言教学中 ,如何帮助学生了解并掌握词义文化的相异性 ,提出了一些可操作的建议。
This paper highlights some related problems caused by the cultural differences when we have the intercultural communication with people whose mother tongue is English, mainly focusing on words' meaning resulted in by the culture from such aspects as sociology , anthropology and convention etc. In some cases the same words will bear the widely divergent cultural meaning when they are used in different countries. Some suggestions are provided in language teaching with the aim of promoting students' comprehensive ability to use the language and to understand the cultural differences in words.
