摘要
本文在回顾我国词汇学研究的基础上,介绍了两本国外出版的英语词汇学专著:一本是1999年由俄罗斯学者G.B.Antrushina等人合著的<英语词汇学>(English Lexicology),另一本是2000年由英国学者Howard Jackson等人合著的<词,意义和词汇:现代英语词汇学引论>(Words,Meaning and Vocabulary:An Introduction to Ennglish Lexicology),从中可以得到两个启示.第一,西方现代语言学因一度忽视词汇学研究而耽误了词汇学研究的进程,现在已经重新开始重视;第二,俄罗斯在词汇学研究方面曾经走在世界的前列,近年来的进展却有些滞后.我国对汉语词汇学研究和汉英词汇对比研究的势头很好,不过,西方和俄罗斯的教训仍然值得借鉴.
On the basis of looking back at the status quo of lexicological studies in our country,two latest books on English lexicology are commented on: Words,Meaning and Vocabulary:An Introduction to English Lexicology by British scholars Howard Jackson et al and English Lexicology by Russian scholars G.B.Antrushina et al.Two lessons can be drawn therein:negligence of vocabulary has hindered the growth of lexicology in the west;failure to follow new developments in modern linguistics has hindered the development of lexicology in Russia.These lessons offer a mirror for the studies of Chinese lexicology and Chinese\|English contrastive lexicology,although the Chinese scholars are doing well in these fields.
