This article makes an analysis and comparison of advantages and disadvantages with respect to universal couplings of cross shaft type and sliding block type used in main drive system for medium plate mill,describes in detail the repair technology,method,steps as well as process procedure and the result regarding universal couplings of cross shaft type used for medium plate mill in Shaoguan Iron and Steel Co,points out the existing problems and puts forwards suggestions.
