摘要
典型理论基于人类对客观世界的认知对范畴的切分和性质提供了全新的视角和方法，目前已成为国内外语言学研究的热点。本文首先介绍了典型理论的产生、基本观点和认知实际，然后结合典型范畴的基本特征探讨了该理论在语言研究中的应用并以此为着眼点评析了这一新的范畴理论所具有的语言学价值和意义。
Based on the humans experience and perception of the objective world ,the prototype theory provides a new angle and method for categorization.Now it has become the focus in linguistic research both at home and abroad.The paper,first of all,expounds the development,the major points and the cognitive reality of the theory.Then,it makes a profound discussion of the application of the theory in various linguistic domains,which is conducted according to the basic characteristics of the prototype catergories.Finally,it points out the linguistic value of this new category theory.
