In the past two hundred years, American fiction has become one of the most influential literary forms in the world. In indigenization of American fiction, 'blackness' is an important factor. This article probes into three aspects of 'blackness' in indigenized American fiction: black culture, black characters of American fiction and the fiction of the Blacks.
