摘要
英语拼写与发音标识之间不存在一一对应关系,构成了英语词汇习得的一个主要障碍。全文对辅音字母拼写与发音不一致现象进行成因分析,并探讨了拼读不一致的一些规则。
English language has no simple sound-symbol correspondence system, which poses a major barrier in the vocabulary acquisition. This paper analyses the primary factors responsible for the inconsistency between the consonants and its spelling system, and makes an attempt to work out some rules in their irregular mappings.
