摘要
袁氏孤儿院突发火灾,夺走了七名弃婴的生命,收养弃婴的"爱心妈妈"袁厉害遂成为媒体焦点。袁厉害二十多年来收养了逾百名弃婴,然而火灾之后负面新闻接踵而至。既有指责其虐婴、敛财等不良行径,也有质疑其收养的合法性。我们不能苛求袁厉害十全十美,即便是存在着媒体所示的负面做法,但是仅凭收养百名弃婴这一义举,即可称袁厉害为伟大的女性,功远远大于过,瑕不掩瑜。火灾悲剧不能归罪于袁厉害的所谓非法收养,而是源于落后的制度及当地政府的麻木。另外新闻媒体也应恪守职业道德,不应该对袁厉害的人格做出任何无根据的评价,更不应以"神"的标准去衡量袁厉害。
A fire broke out in Yuan’s Orphanage,taking away seven abandoned babies’ life,and "Love Mom" YUAN Li-hai has thus become the focus of media.YUAN has adopted more than 100 abandoned babies for more than twenty years,however the negative news about YUAN has been released one after another after the fire.Some accused her of maltreatment of children,and money-making and even questioned the legality of her adoption act.We should not judge YUAN too harshly,and in fact,the mere action of having adopted a hundred abandoned children in her Orphanage is a great act of charity and YUAN deserves to be called a great woman.The tragic fire can not be attributed to Yuan but to the backward system and the local numb government.What’s more,journalists should scrupulously abide by the professional ethics,and should not treat Yuan as God.
