摘要
本文是对上海外国语大学教授汪义群先生的访谈录。汪义群先生长期从事外国戏剧研究,他回顾了《外国戏剧》刊物的历史以及自己对外国戏剧的翻译和研究;探讨了国内对外国戏剧研究的现状和特点。汪义群先生认为剧本的文本研究是外国戏剧研究的必要前提;他指出外语院校的剧本研究和戏剧院校的演出研究需要结合起来。近年来,越来越多的知名院校将外国戏剧演出的研究纳入教学研究领域,外国戏剧研究呈现出新生的气象。此外,汪先生还指出,在当前好的译者相对短缺的情况下,要避免浪费资源、重复翻译好的译本,应当把重心放在修订有缺陷的译本和翻译新名著的工作上。
This is an interview to Professor Wang Yiqun,a distinguished expert in foreign drama study.In the interview,Prof.Wang makes a retrospective review of the once famous journal Foreign Drama,traces back his life in drama study and translation;and comments on the present condition of Chinese drama study.He stresses that drama text study is equally important with the drama performance study,that correct understanding of text is the foundation of correct reinterpretation in performance.The present trend of initiating drama performance study into college curriculum suggests that a new vitality is breaking forth in this field.Prof.Wang points out that the repeated translation of existed good translated classics is a waste of labor;more attention should be put on revising some unqualified translated versions and new classics.
