摘要
本文对揭阳县的设置及其性质，汉代是否曾在揭阳进行过较大规模的军屯和移民，与潮汕地区历史开发有关的＂揭阳岭＂，和历史上揭阳是否又叫做南康等问题，进行辨析，以期引起治潮汕史和潮汕文化研究者的注意。
In this paper are discriminated some problems concerning ancient Jieyang amongst some currently popular viewpoints held by some researchers in history or culture of Chaozhou-Shantou district. These problems are: How the county jurisdiction of Jieyang came into being and what its nature was; whether there were large numbers of army troops at or immigrants to Jieyang during the Han Dynasty;what relation Jieyang Ridge has with the historical development of Chaozhou-Shantou district ; and whether or not Jieyang was also named Nankang in history.
