摘要
自由间接引语是现代小说中人物话语表达的重要方式之一,具有多种特殊表达功能。王黎云、张文浩曾著文指出有三种表达优势。本文在澄清王文某些概念的基础上,提供了一个较为全面的认识,同时介绍了一些被忽视的新功能。
Free indirect speech, the most important mode of speech presentation in modern fiction, was mislea-dingly and lopsidedly judged by a recently published article. The present study aims at providing acomprehensive picture of free indirect speech. The author aims at clearing up the confusion involved inthat article and at bringing attention to the neglected functions of this significant mode.
