摘要
自90年代中期起．在国外，特别在法、英、德、美等主要西方资本主义国家，掀起了一股研究和宣传马克思主义的热潮。其中尤以所召开的一系列有关马克思主义的大型国际性会议特别引人注目。世界上所有关心马克思主义前途和命运的人都会为这一系列会议的召开欢欣鼓舞，并从中受到深刻而有益的启示。本文对这些启示作了初步的探讨与归纳。它们是：只要这个世界上还存在着资本主义制度．还存在着剥削和压迫，不管出现多大的反复和曲折，马克思主义的理想不会消逝；马克思主义没有过时，但马克思主义必须不断地发展，而发展的源泉在于同具体实际的结合；马克思主义的发展道路不是平坦的，马克思主义者会犯这样那样的错误，关键要严于解剖自己，以培育一种自我反思、自我更新的活力机制；要以科学的态度对待马克思主义，不能实用主义地对待马克思主义，更不能把马克思主义当作政治的装饰品；马克思主义是完整的、严密的体系，不是随便可以分割的，应从整体上去把握；马克思主义者不能搞“唯我独革”．应反对在马克思主义内部进行无谓的争论，求同存异，把马克思主义的事业推向前进。
Since the mid-1990's, there has been an upsurge in the study and dissemination ofMarxism abroad,especially in such western capitalist countries as France, Britain,Germanyand the U. S. A. It is characterlzed by the convention of a series of large-scale internationalconferences on Marxlsm. Everywhere in the world,all those who are concerned with thefate and future of Marxism are bound to get inspiratlon and profound enlightenment fromthese conferences. This article is a tentative analysls and lnduction of such enlightenment.The writer asserts that so long as the capitalist system,exploitation and suppression arefound in the world,Marxist ideals will never vanish despite twists and turns. Marxism isnot out-dated but has to be developed and its development lies in its integration with theconcrete practice. And the path of development of Marxism is uneven and Marxists willmake various mistakes' Therefore,Marxists must make a strict self-assessment to fosterthe vital mechanism of self-reflection and self-renewal. A scientific,rather than pragmatic,attitude must be adopted towards Marxism,and Marxism should,by no means,be used as apolitical ornament. As a compact and integrated system, Marxism is not to be temperedwith,but should be approached as a complete whole' Marxists should not exalt themselvesas the only revolutionaries but should be against any pointless argument among themselvesso as to further the cause of Marxism by seeking common ground on major issues whileleaving aside minor differences.
