摘要
习语是英汉两种语言中共有的语言现象,又因其承载着一定的文化信息成为一种文化现象。习语的翻译会因为英汉文化的差异而有别于其他语言材料的翻译。
Idioms van be found in both Chinese and English languages.The existence of idioms is not only a language phenomenon,but also a cultural phenomenon since a lot of idioms contain and reflect certain cultural information.Due to the great differences between Chinese and English cultures,the translation of English idioms seems more troublesome than other language components.
