摘要
简易英汉对照读物中翻译的目的主要是帮助理解原文 ,展现汉语的表现力及英汉语的差异 ,激发对英语文学的兴趣以及作翻译方面的启蒙。本文从能否达到翻译目的的角度分析讨论了《鲁宾逊漂流记》等四本简易英汉对照读物中的翻译 ,说明译者根据明确的翻译目的采取翻译态度。
The purposes of the translation of simplified English-Chinese books are:1)to make the understanding of the original easier; 2)to present the expressiveness of Chinese and the differences between English and Chinese; 3) to arouse the readers' interest in English literary works; and 4) to introduce translation to the readers.This paper makes an analysis and evaluation of four simplified English-Chinese story-books as to whether they can fulfill their purposes, which shows the importance of the translator's proper attitude, effective principle and approach of translation according to the translation purpose.
