摘要
传统观念认为 ,衔接是篇章的形式联系 ,连贯是篇章的意义联系 ,衔接和连贯同属篇章工作的两极 ,并没有质的差别 ,而照应关系是两者的结合 。
Cohesion is a formal relation while coherence is a relation of sense in a text. This paper attempts to demonstrate that they're merely two polar ends of the discourse mechanism. Anaphora is of an intermediate position and is the only approach to text production and comprehension.
