Objective To investigate the assessing value of Glasgow coma scale(GCS),Innsbruck coma scale(ICS) and acute physiology and chronic health evaluation Ⅱ(APACHEⅡ) to the brain function and prognosis of coma patients. Methods The three clinical scores of GCS,ICS and APACHEⅡwere used to score 68 inpatients with coma who had been hospitalized 3days and whose GCS≤8.The score results were classified and compared so as to analyze their correlations to prognoses of the patients. Results All the three classification standards had better a correlativity to prognosis. No significant difference was found in the accurateness of predicting prognosis among the three clinical scores. Conclusion All of the three scores of GCS,ICS and APACHEⅡ have good value to the prognoses of coma patients.
