摘要
世界上各个不同国家和地区所说的英语带有明显地域性特色。世界英语呈现多中心的特征,各种英语变体不存在优劣之分,不存在绝对的标准英语。我们必须正视世界英语的现状,努力探寻新的大学公共英语教学模式,根本上提高我国英语教与学的效率。
English spoken in different parts of the world is of evident regional features.Since there are multi centers for world English and no variety is superior to another,the so-called standard English does not exist at all.Therefore,the primary task for us college English teachers is to find out a new teaching model in the light of situations of global English.In this way the efficiency in English teaching and learning can be improved radically.
