The thermodynamic analysis of chlorine leaching process of nickel mat-te was made. The equilibriam equations of all reactions in the Ni-S-H2O system were calculated and E-pH diagram was established. The mechanism of leach process, posibility of HSO4- production and disolution of β-NiS yie- lded, dissolution and precipitation of CuS and so on are discussed.
