摘要
新见北京国家图书馆藏嘉庆十五年(1810年)孙曾美辑《平海投赠集》,是剿抚粤洋海寇战事告竣之后两广总督百龄(1748~1816年)的亲信、幕僚和交游圈揄扬其平海事功的诗文汇编。由《平海投赠集》的流布和诗文内容引出了当时人如何通过各种形式记录和纪念嘉庆年间粤洋海盗问题的平息,虽曰当事人记当时事未必全真,却可引导研究者从事件本身转向关注事件的记录、纪念和再现。这些记录和纪念的共同点,或出于事主本人的夫子自道,或出于官场文坛抬升权威人物身份地位的需要,在史事选择和记录中实际上经历了选精集萃的过程。职是之故,《平海投赠集》于研治清代乾嘉华南海盗问题实有重要的史料价值。
The Collection of Poetic Contributions on the Suppression of the Sea at the National Library of China in Beijing was compiled by Sun Zengmei in 1810.It included the poetry composed by the confidants,assistants,and circle of friends of Zhang Bailing(1748~1816),governor-general of Guangdong and Guangxi,praising his suppression of the pirates in the waters outside Guangdong.While the matters recorded by the contributors concerned may not be the whole truth,they can guide researchers to focus on the recording,commemoration,and representation of the events.Therefore,the Collection of Poetic Contribution on the Suppression of the Sea has important historical value for better understanding piracy on the southern Chinese coast during the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods.
