摘要
志愿者在临终关怀照顾团队中扮演着重要角色。在中国社会文化背景下探讨临终关怀志愿者服务动机有助于加深对该群体的理解。本研究基于田野观察和深度访谈发现:被访志愿者大多是在经历重大生命事件后进入这一领域,且通常与宗教、临终关怀的价值观等理念性因素相关;另有少数志愿者是受所在组织、单位的影响而做出这一选择。这些因素可由"内-外""宗教-非宗教"两个维度相交分为四个类别。在实际服务过程中,志愿者基于各自的体验发展出不同的策略应对挑战。结合不同动机给予志愿者有针对性的培训和支持,是促进临终关怀志愿者队伍健康稳定发展的重要途径。
In China,little is known about hospice volunteers though they play important roles in the team of hospice care.Exploring the motives of volunteers of hospice care in the context of Chinese society and culture contributes to deepen the understanding of this group.Through field observations and in-depth interviews,this study finds that most hospice volunteers come across this field after a key"life"event and they are usually driven by religion or the values of hospice.A few volunteers made this choice because of the influence of their organizations or their jobs.Four kinds of motivations fall into the coordinate system of"internal-external"and"religious-unreligious"motivation.Volunteers developed different strategies to deal with challenges based on their own experiences during the service.Providing targeted training and support to volunteers on the basis of different motivations is an important way to promote the healthy and stable development of the voluntary service of hospice care.
