荷尔德林《许佩里翁》中的政治和媒介的呼格修辞

摘要 对于考量文学展示共同体神韵的方式,荷尔德林不失为一个意味尤为深厚的出发点。本篇文章着重考察荷尔德林小说《许佩里翁》中的呼格修辞逻辑,特别是在小说中针对法国大革命后的德国政治和文学言论的修辞和媒介环境进行探索。文章除了探讨《许佩里翁》所蕴含的媒体文化历史场景,还分析了小说中两场虚拟的演说:一场重拾了德国民族关于法国民族恐怖的论辩,另一场是小说主人公对于德国同胞的言辞厉责,这段讲词遐迩闻名,清楚表明了小说在德国读者之中普遍流行、享誉一时的接受盛况。这两个场景都探究了当下社会的内部结构,从而利用呼格修辞表现乌托邦社会崩溃而非建立的潜在意义。本文认为呼格修辞是组织小说文体表现形式的核心手段,它代表了革命时代政治和文学语言的修辞结构和媒介性。 Hölderlin is a particularly rich point of departure for a consideration of how literary language stages community.This paper emphatically examine the apstrophic logic at work in Friedrich Hölderlin’s Hyperion,in particular in the novel’s exploration of the rhetorical and medial conditions of political and literary speech in Germany following the French Revolution.After discussing aspects of Hyperion’s media-historical setting,this paper analyzes two figural speeches in the novel:one that takes up German debates about the terreur and another that configures the circulation of the novel among an explicitly German readership,the protagonist’s famous speech of beratement or Scheltrede.Both scenes probe the depths of social atomization and thus explore apostrophe’s potential to represent the breakdown,not establishment,of utopian community.This paper emphasizes that the apostrophe becomes a central figure that organizes the novel’s representation of community,and these apostrophic scenes reflect on the rhetorical structure as well as the mediality of political and literary language in an age of Revolution.
