新差序格局中的君子之道及其界限

Doctrines of the Nobleman and Its Boundary in New Differential Pattern

摘要 传统的“君子”和“君子之道”概念主要表达一种理想人格和理想政治,其预设了个体之间的差异与社会层级。作为一种文化心理结构的“君子”和“君子之道”,与传统的“差序格局”相互强化,影响着传统社会的治理方式。传统“差序格局”下的经济活动受到伦理秩序的强力制约,并不能形成一个独立运行的结构。随着社会化大分工和市场经济的引入和建立,中国社会形成了以社会精英为圆心的“新差序格局”。“新君子”则是“新差序格局”中出现的行业精英和社会中坚,既有传统“君子”概念的意涵,也包含对专业水平与职业成就的肯定。与传统社会经济活动受到伦理约束不同,市场经济活动因其主体之间的非熟人关系有着相互平等的内在要求,从而与传统经济活动的主体关系有了根本的差别,这就需要检视传统的“君子之道”在“新差序格局”中的局限。 Since preconceiving distinctions between individuals from different classes,the traditional concepts of“Nobleman”and“Way-to-be-Nobleman”mainly express an ideal personality and politics.As a kind of cultural psychological structure,it reinforces each other with the traditional differential pattern,affecting the governance of traditional society.Restricted by the strong power of ethics,the economic activity under the traditional“Differential Pattern”cannot develop into an independent structure.Due to the division of labor and market economy established,a“New Differential Pattern”with social elites centering has formed in Chinese society.“New Nobleman”represents the elite of the all walks of life and they are nucleus in the society under the“New Differential Pattern”.It is obviously that the concept of“New Nobleman”not only preserve the previous meaning of nobleman,but also contains recognition of professionalism and professional achievements.Compared with ethical constraints in traditional society,market economic activities have inherent requirements of mutual equality due to the non-acquaintance relationship between the subjects,which is fundamentally different from those in traditional economic activities.Therefore,it is necessary to examine the application limit of the traditional“Doctrines of Nobleman”in the“New Differential Pattern”.
