摘要
如何开展图像文本的视觉语义分析?视觉修辞学提供了一种可供借鉴的分析路径和方法模型。视觉语义主要关注图像文本中符号要素的构成法则与语言结构,具体可以从视觉语法分析和视觉话语分析两个维度切入:视觉语法分析主要包括形式结构分析、语义规则分析和语图关系分析;视觉话语分析主要包括意指系统分析、修辞结构分析、认知模式分析、视觉框架分析和视觉论证分析。但必须承认,此二者并非泾渭分明,而是具有内在的对话结构,即视觉语法中不仅有要素结构和语义规则,还有意义生成与话语建构。我们有理由将视觉语法和视觉话语结合起来,建构一种相对普遍的、可供参考的视觉修辞分析模型。
Visual rhetoric provides appropriate approaches to and methods on semantic analysis of visual texts.Visual semantics lays its focus on the generative grammar and linguistic structure of signs,and its related issues could be approached from two dimensions:Visual grammar and visual discourse,while the former includes analysis of formal structures,semantic rules,and relations between words and images,the latter covers analysis of the referential system,rhetoric structures,cognitive models,visual frames,and visual argument.However,it must be pointed out that the two are not really distinct from each other,but have an internal dialogue structure:There are not only element structure and semantic rules,but also meaning generation and discourse construction in visual grammar.It is reasonable for us to combine visual grammar with visual discourse to construct a universal and referential visual rhetoric analysis schema.
