摘要
已有研究表明,随着科学技术和现代媒体的发展,传统的一维词汇教学模式难以满足医学专业学生对医学英语词汇的使用需求。文章针对医学英语词汇音节繁多、一词三式、意义多重等特点,试图结合多模态话语理论,将医学英语词汇课堂教学分为词汇导入阶段、词汇的理解与运用阶段以及词汇的巩固加强阶段,从三个阶段分别探讨多模态话语在医学英语词汇教学中的协同作用,旨在为医学英语教师提出与多模态紧密相关的教学内容和教学活动,提升医学英语词汇教学的有效性和趣味性。
Studies have shown that with the development of science and technology and the booming of modern media,the traditional one-dimensional vocabulary teaching model could no longer meet the English vocabulary needs of medical students. Given the characteristics of medical terminology with multiple syllables,trilogy,and multiple meanings,this article attempts to analyze the synergistic effect of multimodal discourse in the classroom of medical English vocabulary teaching by dividing it into the present stage,the understanding and application stage,as well as the consolidation stage. This study aims to propose teaching content and teaching activities closely related to multimodal discourse for medical English teachers,and to enhance the effectiveness and interest of medical English vocabulary teaching.
