摘要
The Gay Genius,是林语堂先生用英文所写的一部作品,是二十世纪四大传记之一。近年来对该作品译本的研究有很多,但文章以切斯特曼的五种翻译理论模式为视角,以该传记中译本《苏东坡传》的宋碧玉译本和张振玉译本为例,通过对比两译本对卷名、章节名称翻译的异同,笔者旨在分析不同作者在对标题名称进行翻译时所遵循的不同伦理模式以及在该伦理模式下所采取的翻译方法。
The Gay Genius is a work written in English by Mr.Lin Yutang.It is one of the four major biographies of the20 th century.In recent years,there has been a lot of research on the translation of this work,but this article starts with Chesterman’s five translation theory models,taking Song Biyu and Zhang Zhenyu’s translation of this work as an example.By comparing the volume names and chapters in the two translations,the author aims to analyze the different ethical models followed by different authors when translating and the translation methods adopted under this ethical model.
