This study delves into the learning of English idioms and their impact on language acquisition,emphasizing the difficulty of learning idioms and their deep roots in culture and language.By conducting a thorough analysis of the dual semantics in idioms,this paper aids learners in enhancing their comprehension and practical application skills.It suggests that the use of construction grammar for the systematic classification and teaching of idioms can effectively improve learners'linguistic perception.Moreover,employing multimodal teaching methods can spark learners'interest and deepen their understanding of the cultural and situational contexts embodied in idioms,thereby improving learning outcomes.In summary,this research,from the perspectives of linguistic culture and cognition,offers a comprehensive examination and specific strategies for the teaching and learning of English idioms.
