Microbial fuel cell(MFC)is a kind of promising clean power supply energy equipment,but serious nonlinearities and disturbances exist when the MFC runs,and it is an important topic to guarantee that the output voltage ...Microbial fuel cell(MFC)is a kind of promising clean power supply energy equipment,but serious nonlinearities and disturbances exist when the MFC runs,and it is an important topic to guarantee that the output voltage reaches the setting value quickly and smoothly.Regulating the feeding flow is an effective way to achieve this goal,and especially,the satisfactory results can be achieved by regulating anode feeding flow.In this work,a feedforward fuzzy logic PID algorithm is proposed.The fuzzy logic system is introduced to deal with the non-linear dynamics of MFC,and corresponding PID parameters are calculated according to defuzzification.The magnitude value of the current density is used to simulate the value of the external load.The simulation results indicate that the MFC output voltage can track the setting value quickly and smoothly with the proposed feedforward fuzzy logic PID algorithm.The proposed algorithm is more efficient and robust with respect to anti-disturbance performance and tracking accuracy than other three control methods.展开更多
Growing application of distributed generation units at remote places has led to the evolution of microgrid(MG)technology.When an MG system functions independently,i.e.,in autonomous mode,unpredictable loads and uncert...Growing application of distributed generation units at remote places has led to the evolution of microgrid(MG)technology.When an MG system functions independently,i.e.,in autonomous mode,unpredictable loads and uncertainties emerge throughout the system.To obtain stable and flexible operation of an autonomous MG,a rigid control mechanism is needed.In this paper,a robust high-performance controller is introduced to improve the performance of voltage tracking of an MG system and to eliminate stability problems.A combination of a resonant controller and a lead-lag compensator in a positive position feedback path is designed,one which obeys the negative imaginary(NI)theorem,for both single-phase and three-phase autonomous MG systems.The controller has excellent tracking performance.This is investigated through considering various uncertainties with different load dynamics.The feasibility and effectiveness of the controller are also determined with a comparative analysis with some well-known controllers,such as linear quadratic regulator,model predictive and NI approached resonant controllers.This confirms the superi-ority of the designed controller.展开更多

A novel error amplifier (EA) is presented to achieve a high DC gain and get hi...A high switching frequency voltage-mode buck converter with fast voltage-tracking speed and wide output voltage range has been proposed. A novel error amplifier (EA) is presented to achieve a high DC gain and get high phase margin, including a resistor and capacitor net, a unit gain block and a high gain block. The investigated converter has been fabricated with GF 0.35 μm CMOS process and can operate at 6 MHz with the output voltage range from 0.6 to 3.4 V. The experimental results show that the voltage-tracking speed can achieve 8.8 μs/V for up-tracking and 6 μs/V for down-tracking. Besides, the recovery time is less than 8 μs while the load current suddenly changes 400 mA.展开更多
