The transport properties in the mixed state of high-quality Ca_(0.8)La_(0.2)Fe_(0.98)Co_(0.02)As_2single crystal,a newly discovered 112-type iron pnictide superconductor,are comprehensively studied by magneto-resistiv...The transport properties in the mixed state of high-quality Ca_(0.8)La_(0.2)Fe_(0.98)Co_(0.02)As_2single crystal,a newly discovered 112-type iron pnictide superconductor,are comprehensively studied by magneto-resistivity measurement.The field-dependent activation energy,U_0,is derived in the framework of thermally activated flux flow(TAFF)theory,yielding a power law dependence U_0~H~αwith a crossover at a magnetic field around 2 T in both H⊥ab and H//ab,which is ascribed to the different pinning mechanisms.Moreover,we have clearly observed the vortex phase transition from vortex-glass to vortex-liquid according to the vortex-glass model,and vortex phase diagrams are constructed for both H⊥ab and H//ab.Finally,the results of mixed-state Hall effect show that no sign reversal of transverse resistivityρ_(xy)(H)is detected,indicating that the Hall component arising from the vortex flow is in theories or experiments previously reported on some high-T_ccuprates.展开更多

The transformation relating the non-Gaussian process and the original Gaussian ...The wave period probability densities in non-Gaussian mixed sea states are calculated by utilizing a transformed Gaussian process method. The transformation relating the non-Gaussian process and the original Gaussian process is obtained based on the equivalence of the level up-crossing rates of the two processes. A saddle point approximation procedure is applied for calculating the level up-crossing rates in this study. The accuracy and efficiency of the transformed Gaussian process method are validated by comparing the results predicted by using the method with those predicted by the Monte Carlo simulation method.展开更多
A study was carried out to find the variation in wave characteristics along the eastern Arabian Sea and the influence of swells in the nearshore waves at 3 locations during summer monsoon in 2010. Percentage of swells...A study was carried out to find the variation in wave characteristics along the eastern Arabian Sea and the influence of swells in the nearshore waves at 3 locations during summer monsoon in 2010. Percentage of swells in the measured waves was 75% to 79% at the locations with higher percentage of swells in the northern portion of Arabian Sea com-pared to that at the southern side. The significant wave height up to 4.7 m and maximum wave height up to 7.4 m was observed. The wave height was increasing from south to north with the average significant wave height at the northern location 20% more than that at the southern location due to the increase in the swell height. Waves having spectral peak period less than 6 s were not present during the summer monsoon period. There was no change in the average value of wave statistical parameters for data collected at 1/2, 3, 6, 12 and 24 h interval.展开更多
A novel binuclear cobalt complex with mixed valence state Co(Ⅰ)Co(Ⅱ)(μ-Ph_2Ppy)_2(μ-CO)_2Cl_3 has been prepared, Ph_2Ppy=2-(diphenyl phosphino)pyridine, and its molecular structure determined by using 3569 indepen...A novel binuclear cobalt complex with mixed valence state Co(Ⅰ)Co(Ⅱ)(μ-Ph_2Ppy)_2(μ-CO)_2Cl_3 has been prepared, Ph_2Ppy=2-(diphenyl phosphino)pyridine, and its molecular structure determined by using 3569 independent reflections. The complex was crystallized in the orthorhomblc space group P2_1nb with a=13.32(1), b=14.31(1),c=18.94(2) and Z=4. The structure was solved by direct method and full-matrix least squares refinement carried out. The final R value is 0.072.If the Co-Co bond is not taken into account, two cobalt atoms exhibit a five-coordlnate reformed trigonal bipyramid configuration (formal oxidation state +1) and a six-coordinate reformed octahedral configuration (formal oxidation state +2), respectively. The Co-Co distance is 2.685(1). The molecule belongs to the C_(2v), point group. A new W-frame compound with mixed valence state Co(0)Co(Ⅰ)(μ-Ph_2Ppy)_2(μ-CO)(CO)Cl can be formed by reducing this complex.展开更多

The main feature of modifications i...The modified versions of the linear theoretical model of Longuet-Higgins (1983) are derived in this work and also compared with the laboratory experiments carried out in MAR1NTEK. The main feature of modifications is to replace the mean frequency in the formulation with the peak frequency of the wave spectrum. These two alternative forms of joint distributions are checked in three typical random sea states characterized by the initial wave steepness. In order to further explore the properties &these models, the associated marginal distributions of wave heights and wave periods are also researched with the observed statistics and some encouraging results are obtained.展开更多
