The field ex-periment contained monoculture canola (herbicide tolerant and blackleg resistant hybrid) and monoculture pea compared with rotations that contained these crops every 2-, 3-, and 4-yr with wheat. There was no effect of crop rotation duration and crop phase on soil pH. Mass of TOC and TON in the 0 - 15 cm soil was greater in canola phase than pea phase in the 1-yr (monoculture) and 2-yr crop rotations, while the opposite was true in the 3-yr and 4-yr crop rotations. Mass of TOC and TON (averaged across crop phases,) in soil generally increased with increasing crop rotation duration, with the maximum in the 4-yr rotation while no difference in the 1-yr and 2-yr rotations. Mass of LFOC and LFON in soil was greater in canola phase than pea phase in the 1-yr, 2-yr and 3-yr rotations, but the opposite was true in the 4-yr rotation. There was no consistent effect of crop rotation duration on mass of LFOC and LFON. The N balance sheet over the 1998 to 2009 period indicated large amounts of unaccounted N for monoculture pea, suggesting a great potential for N loss from the soil-plant system in this treatment through nitrate leaching and/or denitrification. In conclusion, the findings suggest that the quantity of organic C and N can be maximized by increasing duration of crop rotation and by including hybrid canola in the rotation.展开更多

In this study both top and bottom walls are assumed to be isolated, meanwhile sidewalls are considered under constant temperature condition. We consider a time-dependent oscillating wall on top to fulfill a periodic mixed-convection inside the cavity. In this type of problems both Grashof and Reynolds numbers play a great role in flow pattern and heat transfer characteristics, so we focus our study on four major parameters that can be crucial such as Grashof and Reynoldsnumbers, solid volume fraction and the non-dimensional lid frequency . The obtained results show that the augmentation of Reynolds number and Grashof number would enhance the average Nusselt number. It is also found that unlike steady state condition, at high Reynolds numbers, as lid is moving in the negative direction the average Nusselt number on the hot wall becomes higher in respect to the case that lid is moving in the positive direction due to thermal boundary layer disturbance. Lid frequency does not have a significant effect on thermal characteristics at low Reynolds numbers, meanwhile at higher Reynolds numbers, increment of lid frequency results in heat transfer reduction. Moreover, solid volume fraction is found to have better efficiency at higher Grashof numbers.展开更多

An extra offset current has also been applied to eliminate the effects of the mismatch in CP. The chip is fabricated with CSMC 0.5μm DPTM CMOS technology. Experiments show that it achieves THD≤0.08% and SNR≤ 82dB,and the maximum outband emission energy ≤ 90dBc/Hz. Furthermore,it also uses an auto frequency adjusting method to avoid tuning up the external inductances. All these merits are very suitable for FM transmission.展开更多

Both cell lines were divided into four groups for irradiation: (1) control, (2) 0.02 Gy or 0.05 Gy(D1), (3) 1 Gy(D2), (4) D1+D2. The survivors and micronuclei were studied as biological endpoints. The results of group (1) and group (2) showed that there were no obvious differences on micronucleus frequency but there were significant increases when irradiation dose was 0.02Gy on colony formation efficiency. Although low dose ion irradiation could not contribute to DNA damages, it could enhance the colony formation efficiency. In the study of group (3) and (4), when the ion dose was 0.02 Gy, there were evident increases on surviving fraction and decreases on micronucleus frequency, but there were no statistical changes on these endpoints when the ion dose was 0.05Gy. This meant that high LET radiation could induce the adaptive response of cultured cells, furthermore, in the range of inducing ion dose , low dose irradiation was more profitable than high dose one.展开更多
