In the latest version of the Hefei advanced light source (HALS), both the dynamic aperture and momentum aperture have been optimized. A longitudinal injection scheme was investigated on the HALS using a doublefrequency radio frequency system. To evaluate the injection performance, various errors were considered. Polarized electron beam production via laser wakefield acceleration in pre-polarized plasma is investigated by particlein-cell simulations.The evolution of the electron beam polarization is studied based on the Thomas...Polarized electron beam production via laser wakefield acceleration in pre-polarized plasma is investigated by particlein-cell simulations.The evolution of the electron beam polarization is studied based on the Thomas±Bargmann±Michel±Telegdi equation for the transverse and longitudinal self-injection,and the depolarization process is found to be influenced by the injection schemes.In the case of transverse self-injection,as found typically in the bubble regime,the spin precession of the accelerated electrons is mainly influenced by the wakefield.However,in the case of longitudinal injection in the quasi-1D regime(for example,F.Y.Li et al.,Phys.Rev.Lett.110,135002(2013)),the direction of electron spin oscillates in the laser field.Since the electrons move around the laser axis,the net influence of the laser field is nearly zero and the contribution of the wakefield can be ignored.Finally,an ultra-short electron beam with polarization of 99%can be obtained using longitudinal self-injection.展开更多

Although alternative management such as epididymal or testicular sperm aspir...Obstructive azoospermia secondary to epididymal obstruction can be corrected by microsurgical reconstruction with vasoepididymostomy (VE). Although alternative management such as epididymal or testicular sperm aspiration in conjunction with intracytoplasmic sperm injection is feasible, various studies have established the superior cost-effectiveness of VE as a treatment of choice. Microsurgical VE is considered one of the most technically challenging microsurgeries. Its success rate is highly dependent on the skills and experience of the surgeons. Various techniques have been described in the literature for VE. We have pioneered a technique known as longitudinal intussusception VE (LIVE) in which the epididymal tubule is opened longitudinally to obtain a larger opening to allow its tubular content to pass through the anastomosis. Our preliminary data demonstrated a patency rate of over 90%. This technique has been widely referenced in the recent literature including robotic-assisted microsurgery. The history of the development of different VE approaches, the oreoDerative evaluation along with the techniaues of various VE will be described in this article.展开更多
We present the case of a 64-year-old man with cervical ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) experiencing chronic neck pain and radiculopathy for 6 months. A catheter-assisted interlaminar Cervica...We present the case of a 64-year-old man with cervical ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) experiencing chronic neck pain and radiculopathy for 6 months. A catheter-assisted interlaminar Cervical Epidural Steroid Injection (CESI) was performed under fluoroscopic guidance, targeting the affected C2-C6 levels. Significant improvement was observed after this procedure, with decreased pain scores (visual analogue scale (VAS) 8 to 2) and improved mobility. This technique not only enhances the effectiveness of CESI but also reduces the likelihood of complications such as stroke or epidural hematoma and thus provides an alternative treatment option for patients with multiple stenotic levels who are unsuitable for surgery or are unresponsive to conservative therapy such as medication or physical therapy.展开更多

文摘相干探测、高精度激光测距、高分辨率光谱学、激光雷达等领域均需要频率稳定的单纵模激光。文中对种子注入TEA CO_2激光器进行了理论和实验研究。设计了通过频率稳定的种子光注入,获得单纵模TEA CO_2激光输出。进行了初步的实验研究,获得单纵模激光输出,单脉冲能量100 m J,输出光波长10.59μm(10P20),与注入种子光波长相同,并对实验结果进行了分析。本方法获得的输出激光波长、远场发散角、频率稳定度及M^2因子等均与种子光相同,即如果采用光束质量极好的种子光源,可以获得频率稳定度高且光束质量极好的大功率激光输出,对科研和国防应用借鉴意义重大。
