It is proved that the coherent state is a natural language for describing the phase shifting operator or multimode phase shifting operator. The multimode phase shifting operator is also a useful tool to solve the dynamic problems of the mnltimode coordinate-momentum coupled harmonic oscillators. The exact energy spectra and eigenstates of such multimode coupled harmonic oscillators can be easily obtained by using the rnultimode phase shifting operator.展开更多

The loading spectrums acted on dumpers are created according to measured strain data in field. The finite element analysis is carried out for assessing stress distribution and strength characteristics of dumpers. Fatigue damage indexes and service life are calculated by a modified Palmgren-Miner rule. The investigation shows that fatigue notch factor has a significant influence on the calculation of fatigue damage of dumpers.展开更多

The study comprises of three treatments of UV-C radiation (100-290 nm) dose for one...The potential protective effect of marine green algae (Codium iyengerii) was examined in UV-C treated seedlings of Vigna radiata. The study comprises of three treatments of UV-C radiation (100-290 nm) dose for one min in alternative days. This results in deformed morphological parameters, including: decrease in plant height, fresh mass of leaves, shoots and roots, as well as leaf areas, which may be attributed with decreased in the relative growth rate, carbohydrate, amino acids, and protein contents of plant. A drastic effect of UV-C radiation was found on the photosynthetic apparatus where increase in red pigmentations on the leaves surface indicates the presence of UV-C absorbing pigments instead of chloroplast pigments. Visible spectrum of leaves chlorophyll showed reduced concentration of visible absorbing pigments which showed the deleterious effect of these radiations on physiological processes of seedlings. These negative effects of UV-C radiation on plant growth were found to be decreased by the application of green seaweed (Codium iyengerii), and absorption spectrums of chloroplast contents showed that UV-C radiation inducing damages were appropriately managed by enhanced concentration of seaweeds which significantly increased morphological and physiological parameters like leaf, stem, root biomass, and plant height under UV-C radiation were observed.展开更多

Our calculation mainly focuses on the frequen...The dispersions of the top interface optical phonons and the side interface optical phonons in cylindrical quantum dots are solved by using the dielectric continuum model. Our calculation mainly focuses on the frequency dependence of the IO phonon modes on the wave-vector and quantum number in the cylindrical quantum dot system.Results reveal that the frequency of top interface optical phonon sensitively depends on the discrete wave-vector in z direction and the azimuthal quantum number, while that of the side interface optical phonon mode depends on the radial and azimuthal quantum numbers. These features are obviously different from those in quantum well, quantum well wire,and spherical quantum dot systems. The limited frequencies of interface optical modes for the large wave-vector or quantum number approach two certain constant values, and the math and physical reasons for this feature have been explained reasonably.展开更多
