This paper has studied the photoluminescence (PL) of the hole-net structure of silicon and the porous structure of SiGe where the PL intensity at 706nm and 725nm wavelength increases obviously. The effect of intensity-enhancing in the PL peaks cannot be explained within the quantum confinement alone. A mechanism for increasing PL emission in the above structures is proposed, in which the trap states of the interface between SiO2 and nanocrystal play an important role.展开更多

The electric boundary conditions along the interface should be the continuity of the tangent component of the electric field strength and the normal component of the electric displacement. Using such boundary conditions, the problems of antiplane strain of collinear cracks between bonded dissimilar piezoelectric materials are exactly analyzed. Solutions of the complex potentials in a closed form are given for a single and two interface cracks. It is shown from the solutions that the stress, strain, electric field strength and electric displacement have (1/2) type of singularity at the crack tip, and the energy release rate for crack propagation depends only on both stress intensity factor and strain intensity factor.展开更多

Then a schedule model was established that an interface crack is inserted in four media. According to the J-integral conservation law on multi-media, the energy release ratio of Ⅰ-type crack was considered to be conservation when the middle medium layers are very thin. And the conservation law was also convinced by numerical method. By means of the dimension analysis on the model, the asymptotic results and formula calculating the energy release ratio and complex stress intensity factor are presented.展开更多

By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of two pairs of dual integral equations in which the unknown variables were the jumps of the displacements across the crack surfaces. Numerical results are presented graphically to show the effects of the geometric parameters, the frequency of the incident wave on the dynamic stress intensity factors and the electric displacement intensity factors. Especially, the present problem can be returned to static problem of two parallel permeable interface cracks. Compared with the solutions of impermeable crack surface condition, it is found that the electric displacement intensity factors for the permeable crack surface conditions are much smaller.展开更多

By use of the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of two pairs of dual integral equations. To solve the dual integral equations, the jumps of the displacements across the crack surfaces were expanded in a series of Jacobi polynomials. It is found that the stress and the electric displacement singularities of the present interface crack solution are the same as ones of the ordinary crack in homogenous materials. The solution of the present paper can be returned to the exact solution when the upper half plane material is the same as the lower half plane material.展开更多

With the help of the complex function method and the undetermined coefficient method, non-oscillatory field if the singularity exponent is a real number, and oscillatory field if the singularity exponent is a complex number are discussed, respectively. For each case, the stress functions are constructed which contain twelve undetermined coefficients and an unknown singularity exponent. Based on the boundary conditions, the system of non-homogeneous linear equations is obtained. According to the necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of solution for the system of non-homogeneous linear equations, the singularity exponent is determined under appropriate condition using bimaterial parameters. Both the theoretical formulae of stress intensity factors and analytic solutions of stress or displacement field near the interface crack tip are given. When the two orthotropic materials are the same, the classical results for orthotropic single material are deduced.展开更多

The results showed that the volumes of biological focal region (BFR) were enlarged when the acoustic focal region (AFR) is close with interface layer. This meant that the magnetic nano-particles enhanced the therapeutic efficiency of HIFU. When the distance of the AFR from the interface layer was 10 mm, the size and shape of the BFR were similar with those of the control group, but a larger lesion at the interface, which was harmful for treatment, was observed. When the distance of the AFR to the interface layer increased to 30 mm, the size and shape of the BFR were also similar to those of the control group. When the thickness of the interface layer diminished, the utility of enhancement decreased. Continuous increase of the safe area for treatment and decrease of the utility of enhancement were observed along with the abatement of the thickness of the interface layer展开更多
