This paper firstly introduces the general situation of cotton planting areas in China and cotton industry in Xinjiang,and the current situation of intellectual property protection of Xinjiang's cotton industry.The...This paper firstly introduces the general situation of cotton planting areas in China and cotton industry in Xinjiang,and the current situation of intellectual property protection of Xinjiang's cotton industry.Then,it analyzes the main problems in its intellectual property protection and high-quality development.On this basis,it comes up with the recommendations for high-quality development of cotton industry in Xinjiang under the strategy of strengthening the country with intellectual property.The recommendations include improving the level of creation of creative intellectual property rights,building an intellectual property rule system in the entire cotton industry chain in Xinjiang,building protected zones for production of major high quality agricultural product cotton,establishing a demonstration zone to undertake the transfer of the domestic cotton textile and garment industry,undertaking education on the sense of community for the Chinese nation in response to the Xinjiang cotton incident,and developing the"Belt and Road"blue market for Xinjiang cotton and its products.展开更多
The weak corrosion resistance of magnesium and its alloys greatly limited the industrial application.Though functional self-healing coatings have been proposed as countermeasures,repeated damages on coatings under pra...The weak corrosion resistance of magnesium and its alloys greatly limited the industrial application.Though functional self-healing coatings have been proposed as countermeasures,repeated damages on coatings under practical installation and complex external environments could require self-adaptive cor-rosion protection against multiple abrasions.In this study,an ultra-high corrosion-resistant Mg-1Zn-1Sc(wt.%)alloy with a corrosion rate of 0.087 mm/y has been designed and prepared,which has fine grains and uniform structure of a nano-scale ScZn phase with low potential.A unique and dense corrosion prod-uct film with a three-layered structure was found and studied on Mg-1Zn-1Sc alloy,providing excellent corrosion protection.In addition,the formation and protection mechanisms of the three-layered corrosion product film on Mg-1Zn-1Sc alloy have been discussed and proposed.The growth behavior of protective corrosion product film could be driven by the synergy of Sc and Zn elements.Furthermore,with the in-crease of Sc content,the strength,plasticity,and corrosion resistance of Mg-1Zn-x Sc(x=0,0.2,0.6,1.0,in wt.%)alloys increased simultaneously.The high corrosion resistance and moderate mechanical perfor-mance qualify Mg-1Zn-1Sc alloy as a promising candidate for diverse industrial applications.展开更多
Industrial policy can promote economic growth and industrial upgrading by encouraging enterprises to adopt product switching.By utilizing comprehensive industrial policies and customs trade databases from 2000 to 2015...Industrial policy can promote economic growth and industrial upgrading by encouraging enterprises to adopt product switching.By utilizing comprehensive industrial policies and customs trade databases from 2000 to 2015,this paper found that firms with product ranges within policy-supported areas were more active in product switching.Among all the enterprises that adopted the product switching,those with nonmain products in policy-supported areas were more inclined to adjust their main product.They tended to transform nonmain product to main product as opposed to introducing new main product in order to effectively leverage their export experience and established technology.Whereas,for enterprises whose main product was within the policy-supported areas,their tendency to switch products significantly decreased.Mechanism analysis suggested that policy support,by alleviating industry distress and mitigating excessive market competition,encouraged firms to switch products to areas with policy backing.Moreover,we estimated trade performance after product switching from the perspective of product unit price and export product quality.We found that for firms whose main product was in policy-supported areas,such switching was more likely to result in“low price,high quality”exports,whereas for firms with nonmain products in supported areas,such switching was more likely to lead to“high price,low quality”exports,which indicates that firms switching to policy-supported areas need to continuously develop their core competencies and operate effectively to improve their production performance.展开更多
Pulmonary fibrosis poses a significant health threat with very limited therapeutic options available.In this study,we reported the enhanced expression of mesenchymal homobox 1(MEOX1)in pulmonary fibrosis patients,espe...Pulmonary fibrosis poses a significant health threat with very limited therapeutic options available.In this study,we reported the enhanced expression of mesenchymal homobox 1(MEOX1)in pulmonary fibrosis patients,especially in their fibroblasts and endothelial cells,and confirmed MEOX1 as a central orchestrator in the activation of profibrotic genes.By high-throughput screening,we identified Ailanthone(AIL)from a natural compound library as the first small molecule capable of directly targeting and suppressing MEOX1.AIL demonstrated the ability to inhibit both the activation of fibroblasts and endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition of endothelial cells when challenged by transforming growth factor-b1(TGF-b1).In an animal model of bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis,AIL effectively mitigated the fibrotic process and restored respiratory functions.Mechanistically,AIL acted as a suppressor of MEOX1 by disrupting the interaction between the transcription factor JUN and the promoter of MEOX1,thereby inhibiting MEOX1 expression and activity.In summary,our findings pinpointed MEOX1 as a cell-specific and clinically translatable target in fibrosis.Moreover,we demonstrated the potent anti-fibrotic effect of AIL in pulmonary fibrosis,specifically through the suppression of JUN-dependent MEOX1 activation.展开更多

The high order mix-valued logical network is converted into an algebraic form first, baaed on which the reachability/controllability of the system is then investigated, and several necessary and sufficient conditions are established. The study of several illustrative examples shows that our new method is very effective in dealing with the reachability/controllability of high order mix-valued logical control networks.展开更多
