The basic function of the Internet is to delivery data(what) to serve the needs of all applications. IP names the attachment points(where) to facilitate ubiquitous interconnectivity as the current way to deliver data. The fundamental mismatch between data delivery and naming attachment points leads to a lot of challenges, e.g., mapping from data name to IP address, handling dynamics of underlying topology, scaling up the data distribution, and securing communication, etc. Informationcentric networking(ICN) is proposed to shift the focus of communication paradigm from where to what, by making the named data the first-class citizen in the network, The basic consensus of ICN is to name the data independent from its container(space dimension) and session(time dimension), which breaks the limitation of point-to-point IP semantic. It scales up data distribution by utilizing available resources, and facilitates communication to fit diverse connectivity and heterogeneous networks. However, there are only a few consensuses on the detailed design of ICN, and quite a few different ICN architectures are proposed. This paper reveals the rationales of ICN from the perspective of the Internet evolution, surveys different design choices, and discusses on two debatable topics in ICN, i.e.,self-certifying versus hierarchical names, and edge versus pervasive caching. We hope this survey helps clarify some mis-understandings on ICN and achieve more consensuses.展开更多

Metadata is data about data,which is generated mainly for resources organization and description,facilitating finding,identifying,selecting and obtaining information.With the advancement of technologies,the acquisitio...Metadata is data about data,which is generated mainly for resources organization and description,facilitating finding,identifying,selecting and obtaining information.With the advancement of technologies,the acquisition of metadata has gradually become a critical step in data modeling and function operation,which leads to the formation of its methodological commons.A series of general operations has been developed to achieve structured description,semantic encoding and machine-understandable information,including entity definition,relation description,object analysis,attribute extraction,ontology modeling,data cleaning,disambiguation,alignment,mapping,relating,enriching,importing,exporting,service implementation,registry and discovery,monitoring etc.Those operations are not only necessary elements in semantic technologies(including linked data)and knowledge graph technology,but has also developed into the common operation and primary strategy in building independent and knowledge-based information systems.In this paper,a series of metadata-related methods are collectively referred to as'metadata methodological commons',which has a lot of best practices reflected in the various standard specifications of the Semantic Web.In the future construction of a multi-modal metaverse based on Web 3.0,it shall play an important role,for example,in building digital twins through adopting knowledge models,or supporting the modeling of the entire virtual world,etc.Manual-based description and coding obviously cannot adapted to the UGC(User Generated Contents)and AIGC(AI Generated Contents)-based content production in the metaverse era.The automatic processing of semantic formalization must be considered as a sure way to adapt metadata methodological commons to meet the future needs of Al era.展开更多
The diffusion of all-media content plays a vital role in guiding public opinion and ideology.However,at present,most of the media content exists on all kinds of mainstream media platforms,which poses great challenges ...The diffusion of all-media content plays a vital role in guiding public opinion and ideology.However,at present,most of the media content exists on all kinds of mainstream media platforms,which poses great challenges to the effective supervision of relevant departments and society.This has led to arbitrary charges,chaotic media content,difficulties in supervision and evidence collection,and infringements of the rights and interests of original content creators.To address these problems,this paper constructs a trustworthy propagation architecture that supports multi-platform media content sharing.This architecture collaboratively builds an audio-visual blockchain through public and consortium blockchains,coupled with an improved ChinaDRM to provide digital rights management and content encryption.Simultaneously,we employ an enhanced Diffie-Hellman key agreement protocol to offer distributed encryption and decryption for media content.Within this model,various media platforms and national regulatory authorities are responsible for content storage and distribution as consortium nodes and public blockchain nodes,respectively.At the same time,users,as light nodes of public chain or service consumers of consortium blockchain,can consume and comment on content.Analysis shows that the trusted communication framework of media content based on the audio-visual blockchain has certain expansibility and practicability.It can facilitate the supervision of mainstream media platforms by national authorities and society through inter-blockchain technology,offering a novel solution for multi-platform trustworthy cooperative information sharing.展开更多
