The fluorescent reaction of this reagent with cadmium was studied. The cadmium ion can form a stable binary chelate with DHAPBH, having a mole ratio of 1 :2 in the pH range of 3.6-4.4. Based on this chelation reaction, a highly sensitive spectrofiuorimetric method was developed for determination of trace amounts of cadmium in a water-ethanol (7:3 in volume ratio) medium at pH = 4.0. Under these conditions, the Cd-DHAPBH complex has excitation and emission maxima at 306 and 437 nm, respectively. The linear range of the method is from 0.36 to 140μtg·L^-1 and the detection limit is 0.27 μtg·L^-1 of cadmium. Interferences of other ions were studied. The method was successfully applied to the determination of cadmium in mineral water, tap water, fiver water, and wastewater.展开更多

The fluorescent reaction of this reagent with gallium was studied. Based on this chelation reaction, a spectrofluorimetric method was developed for the determination of gallium in a water medium at pH 3.2. Under these conditions, the Ga SABH complex has excitation and emission maxima at 372 and 455 nm, respectively. The linear range of the method was 0~150 μg/L and the detection limit was 0.36 μg/L of gallium when a standard addition method was used in the assay. The molar ratio of gallium to the reagent was 1∶3. The interference of other ions was studied. The extraction with n butyl acetate from a 6 mol/L hydrochloric acid medium was used to separate Ga from the interfering elements in semiconductor silicon and geological samples, and themethod has been successfully applied to the determination of gallium in these samples.展开更多

Its structure was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The crystal belongs to monoclinic system with space group P21/n and cell parameters: a=1.1136(4) nm, b=0.6217(2) nm, c=2.6038(9) nm, β=97.182(6)°, V= 1.7887(11) nm^3, Z=4, F(000)=836, Mr=407.28, Dc= 1.512 g/cm^3,μ (Mo Kα) =0.592 mm^-1, R1 =0.0445, wR2= 0.1203. Vanadium atom is 6-coordinated by carboxyl and carbonyl O atoms and N atom of one tridentate C10H10N2O3 to form two stable five-membered rings with the same edge, and the other coordinated atoms of N and O come from one bidentate benzoylhydrazine C7H8N2O. The title complex has a six-coordinated V center [VO(N2O3)] with a distorted octahedral arrangement. In the crystal lattice, there are hydrogen bonding interactions between two molecules.展开更多
