In the patients with more metastatic evidence of liver cancer, the expression of splice variants of CD44 was found higher in tumor-adjacent tissue than in tumor tissue itself, suggesting that the expression of splice variants of CD44 in tumor-adjacent tissue may be a more useful indicator than that in turnor tissue itself for evaluating metastatic potential of primary liver cancer.展开更多
