摘要
The expression of metastasis-associated splice variants of CD44 in tumor-adjacent tissue was studied in 31 patients with primary liver cancer. In the patients with more metastatic evidence of liver cancer, the expression of splice variants of CD44 was found higher in tumor-adjacent tissue than in tumor tissue itself, suggesting that the expression of splice variants of CD44 in tumor-adjacent tissue may be a more useful indicator than that in turnor tissue itself for evaluating metastatic potential of primary liver cancer.
