为了解决琼脂生产废碱液的资源化利用问题,利用扩散渗析装置对琼脂生产废碱液进行碱回收处理,并以料液流速、水/料流速比和温度为考察因素,以碱回收率和回收碱浓度为评价指标,进行3因素3水平的Box-Behnken中心组合实验设计,构建响应曲... 为了解决琼脂生产废碱液的资源化利用问题,利用扩散渗析装置对琼脂生产废碱液进行碱回收处理,并以料液流速、水/料流速比和温度为考察因素,以碱回收率和回收碱浓度为评价指标,进行3因素3水平的Box-Behnken中心组合实验设计,构建响应曲面模型,分析3个因素之间的交互作用对碱回收率和回收碱浓度的影响,确定扩散渗析法回收废碱液的最佳工艺条件。实验结果表明,当料液流速为0.75 L/(m^(2)·h)、水/料流速比为1.28、温度为65.5℃时,碱回收率达80%,获得的碱溶液浓度为1.14 mol/L,模型预测值与实验结果接近,模型可靠。这表明,扩散渗析能有效实现碱与有机物的分离,采用响应面法优化扩散渗析回收琼脂生产废碱液工艺是可行的。 展开更多

目的建立一种简便、实用的方法,同步检测临床分离菌株的ESBLs和AmpCβ-内酰胺酶,为临床选择抗生素提供依据。方法用亚胺培南、阿莫西林/棒酸、头孢他定、头孢噻肟(或头孢曲松、氨曲南)四纸片琼脂扩散法,根据各纸片间抑菌的协同、拮抗作... 目的建立一种简便、实用的方法,同步检测临床分离菌株的ESBLs和AmpCβ-内酰胺酶,为临床选择抗生素提供依据。方法用亚胺培南、阿莫西林/棒酸、头孢他定、头孢噻肟(或头孢曲松、氨曲南)四纸片琼脂扩散法,根据各纸片间抑菌的协同、拮抗作用及耐药谱判断结果。结果200株革兰阴性杆菌中有55株单产ESBLs(27.5%),33株诱导高产AmpC酶(16.5%),19株同时产ESBLs和诱导高产AmpC(9.5%),有20株去阻遏突变高产AmpC酶(10.0%)。四纸片同步法分别与双纸片增效法、头孢西丁三维试验比较,检测ESBLs、高产AmpC酶的总符合率分别为94.7%和93.6%。增加头孢曲松和氨曲南两种基质,ESBLs、诱导高产AmpC、ESBLs/诱导高产AmpC的检出率分别提高了16.3%、12.1%、15.8%。结论此方法不需任何特殊设备,能准确、简便、快速检测革兰阴性杆菌的ESBLs或AmpC酶,并能检测出同时携带两种酶的菌株。 展开更多

目的:比较木立芦荟和中华芦荟对几种常见细菌的抑制作用,为芦荟产品的进一步开发利用提供参考性资料。方法:用滤纸片测定法在不同浓度梯度、不同温度和不同pH条件下分别测定芦荟的抑菌效果。结果:木立芦荟对革兰氏阳性菌的抑菌效果较好... 目的:比较木立芦荟和中华芦荟对几种常见细菌的抑制作用,为芦荟产品的进一步开发利用提供参考性资料。方法:用滤纸片测定法在不同浓度梯度、不同温度和不同pH条件下分别测定芦荟的抑菌效果。结果:木立芦荟对革兰氏阳性菌的抑菌效果较好,中华芦荟对革兰氏阴性菌的抑菌效果较好。同时,芦荟汁浓度越高抑菌效果越明显(芦荟汁浓度为20%和40%时虽然有抑菌效果,但却作用很小,甚至抑菌圈直径都难以测量,100%时直径达到29 mm),温度却对它们的抑菌效果影响不明显(抑制圈直径变化范围在0.0 mm^1.0 mm之间),两种芦荟在偏碱性环境中有抑菌效果,且在pH=8.0时抑菌效果最明显(抑菌圈直径最大达到29 mm)。结论:木立芦荟和中华芦荟均有不同程度的抑菌效果,外界环境条件也对两种芦荟的抑菌效果产生一定的影响。 展开更多

本工作以银为抗菌有效成分,在玻璃原料中添加高比例氧化锌,以高温熔融的方法制备得到一种新型富锌载银可溶玻璃抗菌材料。运用扫描电镜(SEM)、能谱(EDS)和X射线衍射(XRD)测试,结果发现,材料为非晶态物质,由B、O、Na、Si、Ca、Zn和Ag元... 本工作以银为抗菌有效成分,在玻璃原料中添加高比例氧化锌,以高温熔融的方法制备得到一种新型富锌载银可溶玻璃抗菌材料。运用扫描电镜(SEM)、能谱(EDS)和X射线衍射(XRD)测试,结果发现,材料为非晶态物质,由B、O、Na、Si、Ca、Zn和Ag元素组成。利用原子吸收光谱(AAS)法研究了材料释放Ag^+的性质,并以大肠杆菌和金黄色葡萄球菌作为代表菌株研究其抗菌效果。实验发现:材料Ag^+溶出量随时间延长而增加,但随着溶液中溶解的Ag^+浓度增加,溶解速率减慢;Ag^+溶出量也受材料用量的影响,材料用量越少,Ag^+溶出越充分,该抗菌材料体现出良好的稳定缓释Ag^+的性能。抗菌实验结果显示,抗菌材料周围的细菌生长受到明显抑制而形成透明抑菌圈。以红外光谱(IR)方法研究了材料的基团结构,氧化锌形成了Zn-O-B及Zn-O-Si键,以[ZnO 4]四面体形式参与了玻璃网络架构。 展开更多

Oil-producing crops,including Helianthus annuus L.(H.annuus,Sunflower),have been used for the treatment of different human diseases since ancient times.This study aims to determine the antimicrobial and cytotoxic potential of different polarities of seeds and flower extracts of locally grown H.annuus by well-established bioassays.To achieve the objects,the plant extracts were prepared from both flowers and seeds powder samples individually with methanol solvent by using a Soxhlet extraction method.The antimicrobial and cytotoxic potential of the flowers and seed extracts were determined by the in vitro diffusion and brine shrimp method(BSL).The results of the antimicrobial potential of both prepared flower and seed extracts of various polarities at different concentrations showed promising potential against the gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial strains,within the range of inhibition zone 0–20 mm.Among the flower extracts,the highest potential was obtained in water extract and the lowest potential was in butanol extract followed by water>ethyl acetate>hexane>methanol>chloroform>butanol extracts.However,from the seed extracts,the highest potential was obtained in water extract and the lowest potential was in the methanol extract followed by water>hexane>butanol>ethyl acetate>chloroform>methanol extract.On the other hand,the results of cytotoxicity among the flowers extracts against the brine shrimp method where the highest LC50 against brine shrimp nauplii were found to be 31.25μg/mL in water extract and the lowest LC50 was 1345.86μg/mL in chloroform extract followed by water>ethyl acetate>hexane>butanol>methanol>chloroform extract.Similarly,different polarities of seed extracts,the highest LC50 against brine shrimp nauplii was shown to be 109.56μg/mL in butanol extract and the lowest LC50 was 1513.56μg/mL in ethyl acetate extract followed by butanol>hexane>water>methanol>chloroform>ethyl acetate extract.In conclusion,the results showed that both flowers and seeds extracts at various concentrations ha 展开更多

Objective:To evaluate antimicrobial activity of Terminalia arjuna(T.arjuna)bark against clinical strains of multi-drug resistant bacteria,and Candida spp.isolated from patients,as well as the corresponding reference strains.Methods:The antimicrobial activity of water,methanol and chloroform extracts of T.arjuna bark were evaluated by agar-well diffusion method,followed by determination of minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)by broth micro-dilution method.The clinical isolates were studied for antibacterial susceptibility by Kirby and Bauer disk diffusion technique.Results:The water and methanolic extracts of T.arjuna bark produced significant zones of inhibition against twenty-two tested bacteria including eight uropathogens.MIC values against the bacteria were found in the range of 0.16 to 2.56 mg/mL.The chloroform extract did not exhibit antibacterial activity.The polar extracts of T.arjuna also demonstrated strong antifungal effect against eight species of Candida,with MIC between 0.16 and 0.64 mg/mL.The antimicrobial efficacy of the polar extracts was found to be commensurate with high polyphenol content in contrast to the non-polar(chloroform fraction).Conclusions:This study has revealed the therapeutic prospect of T.arjuna bark for the treatment of microbial diseases.The polar fraction of the bark could be used for development of novel antimicrobial agents,particularly against urinary tract infections,and candidiasis/candidaemia. 展开更多

Objective:To investigate in vitro antimicrobial activities of leaves and heartwood crude and semi-purified fractions of Warburgia ugandensis(Canellaceae)(W.ugandensis)on some pathogens.Methods:were prepared.Six bacteria[Klebsiella pneumoniae(K.pneumoniae),Escherichia coli(E.coli),Pseudomonas aeruginosa Crude and semi-purified fractions of the leaves and heartwood of W.ugandensis(P.aeruginosa),Shigella boydii(S.boydii),Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus)and Streptococcus pneumonia]and one fungus(Candida albicans)were tested by agar well diffusion and broth dilution method to determine minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC).Results:S.boydii and S.aureus were found to be the most susceptible bacterial isolated in agar well diffusion and broth dilution method of both the crude and petroleum ether extracts,while K.pneumoniae was the most resistant bacterium isolated under the same condition except in chloroform fraction.K.pneumoniae had shown MIC value of 10 mg/mL in the leaves and heartwood in both the crude and petroleum ether extract.S.boydii and S.aureus had shown the MIC value of 1.0 mg/mL in the crude extract for the both leaves and heartwood;Whereas the petroleum ether semi-purified fraction had shown 0.5 mg/mL in the heartwood.In the crude extract,E.coli and P.aeruginosa exhibits similar MIC value of 1.75 mg/mL.In semi purified petroleum ether extract,E.coli had MIC value of 1.0 mg/mL;Whereas P.aeruginosa had shown no change in crude extract.Candida albicans revealed equal MIC value of 1.0 mg/mL for the both crude and semi-purified fractions of the leaves and heartwood.Conclusions:The crude and semi-purified fractions of W.ugandensis have considerable effect on pathogens.Semi-purified petroleum ether fraction has better antimicrobial activity in both agar well diffusion and broth dilution method.This study further shows the potential of W.ugandensis for further study in order to be use as a modern drug. 展开更多

本文主要研究了组培营养成分—葡萄糖在不同浓度琼脂凝胶中的迁移行为。结果显示:琼脂浓度越高,凝胶强度越大,葡萄糖在其中的迁移速率就越慢。微粒在凝胶中的迁移规律可通过公式c=Ae-x/t进行拟合,系数A值的大小可表示微粒迁移的快慢。

In the present paper, the ethyl acetate extract from the fruiting bodies of Tirmania pinoyi (Maire) was obtained by Soxhlet extraction. Six fractions were separated from this extract using two chromatographic methods. All these fractions were submitted to antimicrobial activity against four clinically important bacteria Staphylococcus aureus ATCC6538, Enterococcusfaecalis ATCC6538 Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC14028, Escherichia coli ATCC25922 and one pathogenic fungus Candida albicans ATCCI0231. The in vitro antimicrobial activity was performed by agar disc diffusion method. The fractions with the greatest antimicrobial activity were fractions 02 and 06 which inhibited growth of both Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria and had significant antifungal activity against Candida albicans. The present study validates the folk use of the boiled truffle water-extract and indicates that it could be effective potential candidates for the development of new strategies to treat bacterial or fungal infections. 展开更多

Development of Topical Antimicrobial Gel Containing Beehive Extract

This study aimed to determine the antimicrobial activity of beehive extract and developed topical antimicrobial gel. The beehives were extracted with three different solvents: distilled water, 50% ethanol and 95% ethanol, then each filtrate was evaporated by vacuum rotary evaporator to obtain crude extracts: water extract (W), water-ethanol extract (WE) and ethanol extract (E). These extracts were tested for their antimicrobial activity against five bacterial strains: Escherichia coli (ATCC 25922), Psuedomonas aeuruginosa (ATCC 27853), Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 25923), Methicillin Resistance Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and β-hemolytic Streptococcus group A (GAS), then they were evaluated for their MIC and MBC values. The results revealed that the yield of the W, WE and E extracts amounted to 16.25%, 14.42% and 6.67%, respectively. Whereas, all of the samples were found to be effective against P. aeuruginosa, S. aureus, MRSA and GAS, but they were ineffective against E. coli. The W extract exhibited the highest antimicrobial activity with MIC values of 31.25-62.50 mg/mL and MBC values of 62.50 mg/mL. Then the gel bases using different gelling agents such as carbopol, hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC) and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) were formulated and evaluated for their physical properties: appearance, texture, pH, spread ability and stability. The formula which contained HEC was selected to incorporate with the W extract due to its smooth texture, good spreadability on the skin and good stability. The W gel exhibited a promising antimicrobial activity in both before and after stability test and also expressed no skin irritation. 展开更多
