The most common type of dementia is Alzheimer's disease, which makes most of cases. New researches indicate that gastrointestinal tract microbiota are directly linked to dementia pathogenesis through triggering metabolic diseases and low-grade inflammation progress. A novel strategy is proposed for the management of these disorders and as an adjuvant for psychiatric treatment of dementia and other related diseases through modulation of the microbiota (e.g. with the use of probiotics). 展开更多

Developing highly efficient magnetic microwave absorb-ers(MAs)is crucial,and yet challenging for anti-corrosion properties in extremely humid and salt-induced foggy environments.Herein,a dual-oxide shell of ZnO/Al_(2)O_(3) as a robust barrier to FeSiAl core is introduced to mitigate corrosion resistance.The FeSiAl@ZnO@Al_(2)O_(3) layer by layer hybrid structure is realized with atomic-scale precision through the atomic layer deposition technique.Owing to the unique hybrid structure,the FeSiAl@ZnO@Al_(2)O_(3) exhibits record-high micro-wave absorbing performance in low-frequency bands covering L and S bands with a minimum reflection loss(RLmin)of-50.6 dB at 3.4 GHz.Compared with pure FeSiAl(RLmin of-13.5 dB,a bandwidth of 0.5 GHz),the RLmin value and effective bandwidth of this designed novel absorber increased up to~3.7 and~3 times,respectively.Fur-thermore,the inert ceramic dual-shells have improved 9.0 times the anti-corrosion property of FeSiAl core by multistage barriers towards corrosive medium and obstruction of the electric circuit.This is attributed to the large charge transfer resistance,increased impedance modulus|Z|0.01 Hz,and frequency time constant of FeSiAl@ZnO@Al_(2)O_(3).The research demonstrates a promising platform toward the design of next-generation MAs with improved anti-corrosion properties. 展开更多

针对埃及尼罗河三角洲地区传统灌溉方式存在的水分利用效率低、产量低和农户增收困难等问题,通过田间试验探索该地区玉米种植适宜的灌溉施肥模式。大田试验于2012年和2013年在埃及苏伊士运河大学试验基地进行,共设置滴灌(D)、涌泉细... 针对埃及尼罗河三角洲地区传统灌溉方式存在的水分利用效率低、产量低和农户增收困难等问题,通过田间试验探索该地区玉米种植适宜的灌溉施肥模式。大田试验于2012年和2013年在埃及苏伊士运河大学试验基地进行,共设置滴灌(D)、涌泉细流沟灌(B)、传统沟灌(F)3个灌溉方式和施无机肥(C)、液态有机肥(O)2个施肥种类,共6个处理。试验研究了水肥互作对玉米叶面积指数(LAI)、地上生物量(ADM)、产量构成要素、经济产量、水分利用效率(WUE)和经济效益的影响。结果表明:抽雄期以后,灌溉方式和施肥种类对玉米LAI和ADM的影响均有显著差异(P〈0.05),其中OD处理的LAI和ADM均处最高水平。两种施肥条件下,D、B和F 3种灌溉方式对玉米产量和WUE的影响均表现为:B〉D〉F。不同灌水条件下,O处理比C处理玉米产量提高18.6%~24.4%,WUE提高18.7%~23.4%。CB处理玉米的年均净效益最高,达7 373元/hm2,但与CF处理差异不显著。CB处理(即涌泉细流沟灌技术与施无机肥结合)是埃及尼罗河三角洲玉米最佳种植模式。 展开更多

金黄色葡萄球菌(Staphylococcus aureus)是导致奶牛乳房炎的主要病原菌,其在抗菌药物的作用下可形成小菌落突变株(small colony variants,SCVs)。为了探讨牛源性金黄色葡萄球菌在表型转变过程中的遗传基础,对临床分离的奶牛乳房炎金黄... 金黄色葡萄球菌(Staphylococcus aureus)是导致奶牛乳房炎的主要病原菌,其在抗菌药物的作用下可形成小菌落突变株(small colony variants,SCVs)。为了探讨牛源性金黄色葡萄球菌在表型转变过程中的遗传基础,对临床分离的奶牛乳房炎金黄色葡萄球菌野生型及其SCV、人工诱导的SCV、临床SCV的表型回复株进行了相关特性及基因组序列的分析。结果发现:金黄色葡萄球菌的SCV和野生型差异显著,野生型菌株在庆大霉素及磺胺甲噁唑/甲氧苄啶(SXT)的诱导下绝大多数产生甲萘醌缺陷型SCV,仅有1株经SXT诱导产生的SCV为胸腺嘧啶核苷(胸苷)缺陷型。菌株基因与表型之间存在明显关联,与野生型基因组相比,临床SCV均显示喹啉/醌代谢相关基因menA的碱基缺失,可能导致蛋白表达提前终止。庆大霉素诱导的SCV在基因menB处出现碱基位点突变;SXT诱导的SCV在代谢相关基因MW1485和aroA处分别出现基因片段的缺失和插入。回复株可能通过在代谢相关基因menA二次突变来恢复功能。本研究首次利用全基因组测序技术分析牛源性金黄色葡萄球菌SCV表型改变的遗传基础,有助于对奶牛乳房炎金黄色葡萄球菌SCV产生更深入的理解。 展开更多

生产上常见的马铃薯叶斑类病害主要包括马铃薯早疫病、黑点病和黑斑病等,均导致马铃薯植株叶片枯死、严重时侵染块茎,造成减产。马铃薯早疫病、黑点病和黑斑病的病原分别为茄链格孢菌(Alternaria solani)、链格孢菌(Alternaria alterna... 生产上常见的马铃薯叶斑类病害主要包括马铃薯早疫病、黑点病和黑斑病等,均导致马铃薯植株叶片枯死、严重时侵染块茎,造成减产。马铃薯早疫病、黑点病和黑斑病的病原分别为茄链格孢菌(Alternaria solani)、链格孢菌(Alternaria alternata)和细极链格孢菌(Alternaria tenuissima),是Alternaria属的三个不同种。本研究旨在针对Alternaria属这三个病原建立一套PCR快速分子鉴定技术,同时结合传统生物学鉴定方法,调查分析黑龙江省马铃薯叶斑类病害Alternaria属病原的小种组成和发生分布情况。结果表明:利用通用引物H3-1a/H3-1b对感染Alternaria病原菌的马铃薯植株病样进行PCR扩增,在489 bp、440 bp和546 bp处出现条带,经测序比对分析,三处目的条带分别鉴定为茄链格孢菌(Alternaria solani)、链格孢菌(Alternaria alternata)和细极链格孢菌(Alternaria tenuissima)。对2015年采集自黑龙江省马铃薯主产区的55个植株叶斑类病样进行生物学和PCR鉴定,结果显示大部分病样为Alternaria属多个小种混合侵染,主要是A.tenuissima、A.alternata和A.solani,这三种病原所占被测病样总数百分比分别为71%、45%和33%,A.tenuissima为优势小种。本研究结果将为准确检测马铃薯植株叶斑类病原菌提供技术支持,为生产上有的放矢防控马铃薯叶斑类病害提供帮助。 展开更多

Rechargeable magnesium ion batteries are potential candidates to replace the lithium ion batteries due to their high volumetric energy density,dendrite free cycling,and low costs.In present work,we have critically reviewed the recent advances made in the field of cathode materials development to achieve the high reversible capacities and working potentials.In first part,carbon-based cathodes such as fluorinedoped graphene nanosheets and graphite fluoride(CF0.8)are discussed in terms of compatibilities of pos让ive electrode materials and electrolyte solutions for rechargeable magnesium-ion batteries.Whereas,the second part of this review focuses on crystal structure of vanadium oxide and its capability to accommodate the Mg^2+ions.Likewise,electrochemical performance of selected vanadium oxide based cathodes including VO2(B),FeVO4.0.9H2(X Mc)2.5+yVO9+δ,RFC/V2O5 and V2O5/Graphene composite,are discussed at different temperatures.To support the future research on magnesium ion batteries,particularly positive electrode material developments,several innovative research directions are proposed. 展开更多

The mechanism behind void formation during superplasticity remains a subject of uncertainty.This study presented a novel insight into the void formation in a fine-grained Ni-Co-based superalloy during superplasticity.It was observed that the dissolution ofγ′-particles resulted in the creation of vacancies due to differences in atomic size between the matrix and the particles.These vacancies acted as inclusions,leading to the formation of micro-voids.Notably,excessive void formation correlated with higher particle dissolution was experimentally observed,highlighting a direct relationship between void formation and particle dissolution. 展开更多

Human beings are often affected by a wide range of skin diseases,which can be attributed to genetic factors and environmental influences,such as exposure to sunshine with ultraviolet(UV)rays.If left untreated,these diseases can have severe consequences and spread,especially among children.Early detection is crucial to prevent their spread and improve a patient’s chances of recovery.Dermatology,the branch of medicine dealing with skin diseases,faces challenges in accurately diagnosing these conditions due to the difficulty in identifying and distinguishing between different diseases based on their appearance,type of skin,and others.This study presents a method for detecting skin diseases using Deep Learning(DL),focusing on the most common diseases affecting children in Saudi Arabia due to the high UV value in most of the year,especially in the summer.The method utilizes various Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)architectures to classify skin conditions such as eczema,psoriasis,and ringworm.The proposed method demonstrates high accuracy rates of 99.99%and 97%using famous and effective transfer learning models MobileNet and DenseNet121,respectively.This illustrates the potential of DL in automating the detection of skin diseases and offers a promising approach for early diagnosis and treatment. 展开更多

The main goal of informal computing is to overcome the limitations of hypersensitivity to defects and uncertainty while maintaining a balance between high accuracy,accessibility,and cost-effectiveness.This paper investigates the potential applications of intuitionistic fuzzy sets(IFS)with rough sets in the context of sparse data.When it comes to capture uncertain information emanating fromboth upper and lower approximations,these intuitionistic fuzzy rough numbers(IFRNs)are superior to intuitionistic fuzzy sets and pythagorean fuzzy sets,respectively.We use rough sets in conjunction with IFSs to develop several fairly aggregation operators and analyze their underlying properties.We present numerous impartial laws that incorporate the idea of proportionate dispersion in order to ensure that the membership and non-membership activities of IFRNs are treated equally within these principles.These operations lead to the development of the intuitionistic fuzzy rough weighted fairly aggregation operator(IFRWFA)and intuitionistic fuzzy rough ordered weighted fairly aggregation operator(IFRFOWA).These operators successfully adjust to membership and non-membership categories with fairness and subtlety.We highlight the unique qualities of these suggested aggregation operators and investigate their use in the multiattribute decision-making field.We use the intuitionistic fuzzy rough environment’s architecture to create a novel strategy in situation involving several decision-makers and non-weighted data.Additionally,we developed a novel technique by combining the IFSs with quaternion numbers.We establish a unique connection between alternatives and qualities by using intuitionistic fuzzy quaternion numbers(IFQNs).With the help of this framework,we can simulate uncertainty in real-world situations and address a number of decision-making problems.Using the examples we have released,we offer a sophisticated and systematically constructed illustrative scenario that is intricately woven with the complexity ofmedical evaluation i 展开更多

In this paper,the unsteady magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)-radiation-natural convection of a hybrid nanofluid within a U-shaped wavy porous cavity is investigated.This problem has relevant applications in optimizing thermal management systems in electronic devices,solar energy collectors,and other industrial applications where efficient heat transfer is very important.The study is based on the application of a numerical approach using the Finite Difference Method(FDM)for the resolution of the governing equations,which incorporates the Rosseland approximation for thermal radiation and the Darcy-Brinkman-Forchheimer model for porous media.It was found that the increase of Hartmann number(Ha)causes a reduction of the average Nusselt number(Nu),with a maximum decrease of 25%observed as Ha increases from 0 to 50.In addition,the influence of the wall’s wave amplitude and the heat source length on the heat transfer rate was quantified,and it was revealed that at high wave amplitude,the average Nu increases by up to 15%.These findings suggest that manipulating magnetic field strength and cavity geometry can significantly enhance thermal performance.The novelty of this is related to the exploration of a U-shaped wavy cavity,which is not covered in previous studies,and to the detailed examination of the combined effects of magnetic fields,radiation,and hybrid nanofluids. 展开更多

Thyroid hormones play essential roles in spermatogenesis,but their effects on infertile males remain poorly understood.This study aimed to evaluate the impact of combining carbimazole(CBZ)with vitamin E(VE)on testicular injury induced by experimental hyperthyroidism in adult albino rats,focusing on oxidative,inflammatory,and apoptotic pathways.In this experimental study,64 adult male albino Wistar rats were divided into eight groups:Group I(control-untreated),Group II(CBZ-control),Group III(VE-control),Group IV(CBZ+VE-control),Group V(levothyroxine-induced testicular injury),Group VI(levothyroxine+CBZ-treated),Group VII(levothyroxine+VE-treated),and Group VIII(levothyroxine+CBZ+VE-treated).The study was conducted in the Faculty of Medicine,Suez Canal University(Ismailia,Egypt).After cervical decapitation,both testes and epididymis were examined histopathologically and immunohistochemically.Significant differences were observed among groups concerning malondialdehyde(MDA),glutathione(GSH),superoxide dismutase(SOD),and catalase(CAT;all P<0.001).Polymerase chain reaction analysis showed significant differences in tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-10(IL-10),Bcl-2-associated X protein(BAX),B-cell lymphoma 2 protein(Bcl2),p53,Caspase-3,Caspase-8,Caspase-9,and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)mRNA levels(all P<0.001).Hyperthyroid group treated with CBZ alone(Group VI)exhibited testicular side effects,affecting seminiferous tubules and spermatogenesis.However,the Group VIII showed improved spermatogenesis and a decrease in testicular side effects.The addition of VE to the treatment of hyperthyroid rats with CBZ reduced testicular side effects and seminiferous tubular affection when potentially improving spermatogenesis.Further research is needed to elucidate the underlying mechanisms fully. 展开更多

Mg−9Al−1Zn(AZ91)magnesium matrix composites reinforced by Ti−6Al−4V(TC4)particles were successfully prepared via powder metallurgical method.The yield strength(YS),ultimate tensile strength(UTS),and elongation(EL)showed a mountain-like tendency with the increase of the TC4 content.The mechanical properties of AZ91 magnesium matrix composites reached the optimal point with TC4 content of 10 wt.%,realizing YS,UTS,and EL of 335 MPa,370 MPa,and 6.4%,respectively.The improvement of mechanical properties can be attributed to the effective load transfer from the magnesium matrix to the TC4 particles,dislocations associated with the difference in the coefficient of thermal expansion,good interfacial bonding between the Mg matrix and TC4 particles,and grain refinement strengthening. 展开更多

Twenty days old seedlings of radish were salinized with salt solution (NaCl). Morphological, physiological and ionic parameters were studied. Radish genotypes Laal-Pari and 40 Days executed the best performance in all the measured attributes and categorized as salt tolerant genotype while Green Neck was the poorest in retaining normal functioning at higher salinity levels thus grouped under salt sensitive cultivar. 展开更多

Salinity is the most limiting abiotic factor for plant development and growth changes in watermelon by producing reactive oxygen species and ultimately oxidative stress. The present study was aimed to investigate the mechanism involved in salt stress alleviation in watermelon (Citrullus lanatus Thanb. Mavs.) through the foliar application of salicylic acid. Watermelon cv. Charleston Gray was grown under moderate saline regime of 3 ds·m-1 NaCl and sprayed with salicylic acid with four level (0.5, 1.0, 2.5 and 5.0 mmol/L) compared along with control. SA @ 5.0 mmol/L was found to be very effective in mitigation of salt stress. SA was found to be very effective in alleviation of salinity stress by produced antioxidants and acted as osmo-regulator. 展开更多
