摘要
脱口秀艺术源于生活,内容丰富,其语言贴近于人们的日常用语,隐喻也成为脱口秀节目触发幽默的一种常用方式,而对此方向的中西对比研究较少。本文通过收集中国脱口秀节目《脱口秀大会》和美国脱口秀节目《吉米今夜秀》两个节目的语料,以语言学作为理论依据,从相似性和偷换概念两个方面来探讨两者隐喻触发机制的共性;从使用隐喻触发幽默的策略这一方面探讨两者的差异性,并得出,英汉两种语言创造隐喻幽默的手段具有相似性,但由于社会观念和文化习俗的不同使得触发策略有所差异。本文旨在通过比较隐喻触发的异同来更好地理解两种语言的幽默。
The art of talk show originates from life and its language is derived from everyday speech. Metaphor has become a common way for talk shows to trigger humor;however, there are few studies that compare China and the West. Using linguistics as the theoretical basis, this paper will analyze the commonness and differences of metaphorical humor between China and America based on the corpus collected from ROCK & ROAST and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. This paper discusses the commonality of metaphorical trigger mechanisms from two aspects: similarity and change of concept;The differences are discussed from the perspective of using metaphor to trigger humor. Finally, it can conclude that the methods of creating metaphorical humor in English and Chinese are similar, while, the different social concepts and cultural customs make the triggering strategies different. This paper aims to better understand humor in the two languages by comparing the similarities and differences of metaphorical triggers.
