英汉原因状语从句位置分布差异与母语概念迁移

摘要 本研究基于学习者英语、目标语和母语三方语料库,以英汉及中国英语学习者原因状语从句为研究对象,分析英汉原因状语从句语序的分布特点,比较英汉原因状语从句位置的分布差异,运用认知语言学视阈下的焦点–背景原则(Figure-Ground Principle)对造成其分布差异的因素进行解释,考察中国学生英语原因状语从句语序分布与母语概念迁移之间的关系,并对英语原因状语从句的习得提出建议。研究发现:1) 英汉原因状语从句位置分布存在显著差异。英语中原因状语从句的位置分布呈后置趋势,而汉语则相反;2) 整体上来看,中国学生在使用英语原因状语从句时,更贴近于英语本族语者的表达习惯,将从句后置,而对于since从句的使用却受母语语序影响,倾向于将从句前置。 This paper, based on corpus linguistic research, studies word order in English and Chinese adverbial clause of cause. In this research, the CLOB, CCL and CLEC corpus are contrasted and analyzed. Differences in the distribution of the position of adverbial clauses of cause between English and Chinese are compared, and factors leading to them can be interpreted in the framework of Figure-Ground Principle. The relationship between the word order distribution of adverbial clauses of cause in English and L1 conceptual transfer of Chinese students is investigated. Some suggestions on the acquisition of adverbial clauses of clause are given. It is found that: 1) There are significant differences in the ordering distribution of adverbial clauses of cause between English and Chinese. In English, the word order of adverbial clauses of cause tends to be postposition, while in Chinese, it is the opposite. 2) It is also found that on the whole, Chinese students tend to put the subordinate clause after the main clause.
