五四时期,东西方文化发生了激烈交锋,这场文化论争不仅引发了人们对西方文化的关注,更唤醒了我们对传统文化的反思,中国早期马克思主义者在论争中的传统文化观,深刻地影响着中国人的思想方式和行为方式。中国文化守成开新的探索实践,中国文化走向文化自觉,中国人经历了从思想觉醒到文化自信的历程,站在新时代的历史方位上,梳理五四东西文化论争背景下中国早期马克思主义者的传统文化观,对今天理性认识中国传统文化,辩证看待西方文化,推动传统文化创造性转化创新性发展有深刻意义。
During the May Fourth Movement, there was a fierce clash between Eastern and Western cultures. This cultural debate not only aroused people’s attention to Western culture, but also awakened our reflection on traditional culture. The traditional cultural view of early Chinese Marxists in the debate profoundly affected the way of thinking and behavior of Chinese people. Chinese culture has maintained its traditional exploration and opened new practices and Chinese culture has moved toward cultural consciousness. Chinese people have experienced a process from ideological awakening to cultural self-confidence. Standing in the historical perspective of the new era, they have combed the traditional cultural views of early Chinese Marxists under the background of the May Fourth cultural debate, and have a rational understanding of today’s traditional Chinese culture and a dialectical view of Western culture. It is of profound significance to promote the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional culture.
