Hartmut Rosa, who studied with Honet, the third generation leader of the Frankfurt School, is to some extent regarded as the fourth generation leader of the Frankfurt School. His theory closely revolves around the real world, asking how we should have a good life and if life is not good, what is the crux of the problem? In his book Social Acceleration: A New Theory of Modernity, Rosa elaborated his critical theory of social acceleration, attributing the reason why people's life is not good in modern society to time.
