Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is still the leading cause of death worldwide. It was found that patients with primary aldosteronism (PA) affected by secondary hyperparathyroidism appear to have a trend toward more cardiovascular comorbidities. Aldosterone interacts with parathyroid hormone (PTH) and their interaction is strongly associated with the development of diseases of the cardio-vascular system, which can further increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. This review exam-ines the impact of parathyroid hormone levels on cardiovascular disease in patients with primary aldosteronism in the context of current research.
