张爱玲的小说,无论是沉浸于情爱市井的表层描述,还是对生活、对世界、对人性和命运的密切关注,都是时代和社会造成她苍凉、悲怆心态的反映。通过阅读她的小说,可以清晰地看到作者在安排故事情节、反映人物心理、设置矛盾冲突时,特别是作品中人物的对话和举止中无不深深地烙印着这一鲜明基调。只有从这一基调出发,我们才能更准确、更全面地解析她思想和性格的本色,才能更透彻、更深刻地体味她小说作品所蕴涵的独有的艺术特色。
In her novels, Zhang ailing always reflects her sorrow hurt by that era and society, whether describing affection and townsfolk or focusing on lives, world, human nature and fates. The vivid keynote is clearly marked by her plotting, mentality of figures and conflicts-setting, especially through the dialogues and manners of her figures. Only from the perspective can we grasp her ideas and essence much exactly and incisively, feeling her particular artistic characteristics in her works.
