J.D.Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye depicted a young man Holden Caulfield who spurned the adults' world and was eager to be a catcher in the rye, which showed his passion for returning to youth and nature and his thoughts of ecophilosophy. It had great influence on the literature and culture in America after the Second World War.
