中国加入WTO两年多以来,作为中国经济改革开放的重要组成部分,金融领域正有条不紊地按照预定的框架向外资开放,众多外资金融机构已通过适当的程序进入中国金融市场。据银监会4月13日公布的数据显示,已共有19个国家和地区的64家外资银行在华设立了192家营业性机构,其中88家已获准经营人民币业务.在华外资银行的资产总额已达到495亿美元。此外,外资银行在中国还设立了209家代表处。 对于外资进入的利于与弊,实在地说,我们已经讨论得太多了。对我们而言,也许现在更应该关注的是外资银行的在华走势,以做到知己知彼;并且从他们身上学到那些我们该学却还没有学会的东西……
For the over two years since China entry into the WTO, as an important part of economic reforms and opening-up of China, the financial field is opening to the foreign investment steadily based on the preset framework, and a lots of foreign-invested financial organizations have entered the financial market of China through appropriate procedures. As indicated by data released by Banking Supervision Committee on 13th April, totally 64 foreign-invested banks from 19 countries and regions have established operational organizations in China, numbering 192, including 88 that have been approved to handle HMB. The total assets of foreign-invested banks in China are up to 49, 5 billion USD. Moreover, foreign-invested banks have set up 209 representative offices in China.
As for advantages and disadvantages with regard to foreign investment entry, we have, to be frank, discussed too much. For us, what we should pay more attention to, perhaps, is the trend of foreign-invested banks in China, so that we can know not only ourselves but also the competitors and learn what we should have but not yet learnt from them
