The types and quantities of urban public open space are determined by the natural and historical characteristics of the cityand the function and property of the public open space.The orientation,site selection and design of the Downtown Dongmen Squareand the Central Square of Chang'an in Dongguan are all made in accordance with the concept of multi-functionality,openness andorganization,etc.,which have produced very good effects.[
